Some things do not require more space. They require more attention.

I seek to photograph what cannot be seen.

A vibration. An emotion. A presence. What the body perceives before words can explain it. Through water, sound and image, I explore the invisible traces the world leaves within us.

What we feel sometimes exists long before we know how to explain it.

This project grew out of a fascination with what we cannot see. Emotions. Vibrations. Resonances. Those invisible phenomena that pass through us and yet leave a trace.

Water gradually became the territory of this research. Because it receives. Because it responds. Because it momentarily retains the memory of what passes through it.

Through water and frequencies, I sought to observe what might emerge. An attempt to photograph the invisible.

MULTIPLE LINES OF INQUIRY

As though something within us recognised certain things before we even understood them.

With Ce qui m’entoure me révèle, I am not seeking to represent an emotion. Rather, I seek to create the conditions in which it can be felt. The image becomes a space of resonance.

A place where perception, bodily memory, vibration and silence meet. What interests me is not only what we see, but what is set in motion within us when we look. That almost imperceptible movement. That sensation of something touching us before we have even had time to understand it.

Harmony. Breath. Presence. Imprint.

This research is part of a longer-standing practice. I have always been drawn to atmospheres. The bonds between people. Emotions. Details. Silent presences.

Without fully realising it, I believe I have always sought to photograph something beyond what can be seen. Through this work with water, sound and vibrations, that intuition has simply become more visible. The project does not mark a departure. Instead, it reveals what was already there.

I thought I was looking at the world. I had not realised that I was also learning to let it touch me.

The exhibition was conceived as an experience. The photographs formed only one part of the project.

Sound, frequencies, water, voice and moments of silence all formed part of the same inquiry: to gently shift our attention. To create a different rhythm. To invite us to slow down. To step away from the usual flow for a moment. To feel before seeking to understand.

And perhaps life is also about learning to recognise what touches us.

Perhaps we are not drawn by chance to what touches us most deeply.

A place. A person. A piece of music. An image. Some things pass. Others remain. Sometimes they return long afterwards. As though the world were encountering something already waiting within us.

Ce qui m’entoure me révèle is an exploration of this encounter. Of what we receive. Of what we retain. And of the way what surrounds us quietly helps to shape us.
